The Guardian promotes global warming hysteria with articles that have no rational basis. Quoting ‘experts’: “Another contributory factor to the location of shark attacks could be global warming and rising sea temperatures”

However, according to NOAA’s satellite-base sea surface temperature (SST) data the sea temperature was not warm in the areas of California or Florida mentioned in the article. The following figures show the SSTs for the time frame of the shark attacks, first worldwide and then a close-up of the southern US area [http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/img/climate/research/sst/wksst.20080430.gif]. As usual, the data contradict the hype.
